Pulled Jackfruit Tacos

And the taco kick continues. It is just such an easy simple meal to throw together when you’re short on time and it’s always so tasty. Now this recipe was so extremely simple and so insanely good that if you don’t make it than what are you doing! Get your grocery list ready because you’ll be craving these once you’re done reading the recipe.



  • 2 Cans Young Jack fruit, strained

  • 1 Cup Water

  • 2 Tbsp Chili Powder

  • 2 Tbsp Paprika

  • 2 Cumin Powder

  • 2 Tsp Onion Powder

  • 2 Tsp Garlic Powder

  • 1 Tsp Liquid Smoke (optional)

  • Salt and Pepper to Taste


  1. Start by either heating a pot to medium heat or preheating your pressure cooker. I just set mine to the meat and strew setting.

  2. In your pot add all the ingredients and give it a good stir to make sure everything is combined.

  3. Now bring to a boil and then simmer and cover with a lid. If you’re using a pressure cooker just put the lid on. Let it cook for about 20 minutes.

  4. Once its done remove the lid and use a fork or tongs to pull apart the jack fruit. Once it is all pulled apart simmer again for about 5-10 more minutes.

  5. While your jack fruit is cooking you can prep an veggies or sauces you want to add to your tacos. In mine I did green and purple cabbage, avocado, cilantro, and my oil-free ranch dressing recipe.

  6. Build up your tacos and enjoy!
