Morning Routine for a Better Day
My morning routine is something that has been very sacred to me since the past year or so. I’ve completely catered it to everything I need in order to feel my best and more productive. Not to be dramatic but I could definitely say in has changed my life. My morning routine along with my bullet journal but that one is a story for a different post.
Waking up early
When it comes to waking up I’m one of those people that like to that this as early as possible every morning. I know this is something that is hard for most people but I think its completely worth it. I probably sounds a little crazy if this isn’t something you’re used to.
There tends to be a negative connotation around waking up early because people associate it with work and school and doing things we just don’t want to do. When you switch that around and change the association to things you genuinely want to do everyday it makes waking up early just that much better.
Water and Reading
Every morning when I wake up I love taking it real slow. Some days I spend way too much time on my phone laying in bed and some days I’m up and ready to get to work right away. Sitting on the couch with a big glass of water and my current book is my favorite way to wake up. Taking things slow and giving myself a second to wake up even if it is just 10 or 15 minutes.
Move your body
Starting your day on with a little bit of exercise has been one of the best things I could do for myself. Moving your body in whatever way makes you feel best first thing in the more will set you up for a great day. Loosening up your body makes you feel good and it’ll also clear your head and give you more focus for your day whatever you may need to do.
I’m absolutely in love with doing yoga every morning as my form or movement. It’s stretching along with strengthening along with keeping you mindful during your practice. I also bike to work everyday and if I cant bike I’ll go for a walk. I just think spending at least a little time outside everyday is extremely important.
I also feel it extremely therapeutic to get my home ready for the day as well as weird as that sounds. Spending time in the morning to clean up your space and doing the dishes is something that’ll also clear your head and make you feel less stressed and more organized.
Doing things everyday that are solely for you and to benefits your well being is so important. It will give you a better head space for your day and make you overall more productive. This should be completely customized to yourself though. Doing anything that you can do in the morning to make yourself feel amazing and ready to kick ass!
